The EBLIP8 Conference Program features a rich and exciting array of presentations and activities about all facets of evidence based practice that will be of interest to members of the library and information profession.

Keynote Speakers

  • Virginia Wilson, Director of the Centre for Evidence Based Library and Information Practice (C-EBLIP) at the University Library, University of Saskatchewan, Canada

EBLIP8 also offers 39 presentations from local and international speakers. These presentations will provide an opportunity for delegates to hear about cutting edge research in the field as well as scholarly discussion about the future of evidence based practice within the profession.

Panel Discussion: Evidentially Practical?

This panel session will provide the opportunity for the library and information community to critically and intentionally consider the many opportunities and challenges in embracing an evidence based culture and practice. In addition, this session will also offer the opportunity for all library and information professionals to submit questions or scenarios prior to the conference for the panel to discuss.


Finally, a series of seven interactive workshops on a variety of topics of relevance to evidence based practice will provide delegates with the chance to interact and engage with other members of the library and information community.
